For this collaboration with the Chilean photographer Paloma Palomino, I wrote an essay inspired by the massive social revolt that took place in Chile at the end of 2019. I explored the notion of initiation and the concept of “becoming-other” proposed by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari, in relation to otaku cyborg identities and their influence in the lives of rebellious Chilean teenagers including my old self.
